Can I use the Duo SmartBalls if I have a prolapse?

Question

I bought Smartballs Duo and still have them unopened in exactly the same condition they were sent to me. I read through the descriptions again and see that women with prolapsed a uterus should get the single "Uno". Am I still ok to use the two balls?
Also, if so, I have very strong muscles according to my physio so wondering if I chose the right Smart Ball set? much appreciate your help.

We are increasingly recommending that all women start with a single ball and then progress on to the double balls as this is much easier and success encourages women to keep using the balls to get benefit.
You are welcome to try the double balls and can then purchase the SmartBalls Uno if you need go back a few steps and start with the Uno. It will depend on the type and extent of your prolapse as to how easy it will be to use the Duo balls.
The main issue for women who have not used SmartBalls before and who have a prolapse is that they find it difficult to insert the double balls.
Unfortunately due to health and safety reasons we are not able to accept back even unopened SmartBalls so I recommend using them if you can.

As a Question. I suffer from cystitis and am incontinent, will Smart Balls rub?

I am 55 years and have suffered from cystitis a few times is there is any harm I can do by wearing SmartBalls?

Question

I have just been to a menopause seminar and learnt about your Smart Balls. I am concerned that the wearing of the SmartBall may cause cystitis rubbing against the thinner bladder wall that I now have. I am 55 years and have suffered from cystitis a few times recently from the normal cause! It’s a long time since I have worn a tampon. Please advise if there is any harm I can do by wearing it? My incontinence is worse and worse (can’t even walk now without dribbling). Any reassurance would be appreciated!

I would recommend you try the Natratone as an alternative to the SmartBalls, The Natratone is only inserted in the vaginal opening during the time you are practising the exercises and is very good for correcting and preventing bladder weakness.
Have a read about Natratone on our website. The minimum commitment is 10 minutes a day 3x per week, for 6 weeks, and the Natratoner device comes with an instructional DVD.

It is a very effective way for you to regain bladder control and will eliminate any risk of aggravating your cystitis. There may be some natural treatments for recurrent cystitis and we always recommend increasing your water intake to regularly flush your system.
