Is it normal not to feel anything whilst wearing the SmartBalls?
Question
I have recently purchased a smartball uno from your company. I used it for the first time this evening - just for 10 minutes to try it out. I couldn't feel anything once it was in place - is this normal and would my pelvic floor muscles be working still?
Pelvic Floor Answers
It is quite normal not to feel the SmartBall as we have few nerve endings in the vagina above the pelvic floor. This is also an indication that the Balls are correctly inserted and sitting in position.
The most common sensation some women have to start with is the feeling of a weight bearing down especially if they wear them for a long time as the muscles can get tired.
While you may not feel the SmartBalls, they will be doing their job of toning and strengthening your pelvic floor muscles.
You can simply increase the amount of time you wear the balls for as per the instruction leaflet. The more active you are the more likely you are to feel the balls moving around, however not all women do.
SmartBalls are definitely working as you wear them (when you are upright -sitting/standing or moving around) regardless of sensation.
How you will know they are working correctly is in 2-3 weeks time when you notice you have improved bladder control and sexually active women often notice stronger orgasms and sexual sensation and male partners can notice this as well.
